The Characters of The King of Queens

As Carrie Heffernan, I've had my fair share of dealing with Doug's antics. But despite his lazy attitude, I love him to pieces. And let me tell you, our neighbors are just as lovable (and sometimes just as frustrating) as he is.

The Main Characters

Let's start with the main characters in The King of Queens:

• Doug Heffernan: Doug is my husband, and I'm not exactly thrilled about it most days. But despite his laziness, he means well.
• Carrie Heffernan (that's me): As the voice of reason in our household, I keep Doug on track when he needs to be kept on track.
• Danny Heffernan: Our son is a handful, but we love him to bits. Most days, at least.
• Vince Moranto: Our friend and next-door neighbor is always coming over for dinner (and by "always," I mean "most days"). Despite his constant presence in our lives, he's actually a pretty good guy.
• Deacon Palmer: Deacon is another close friend of ours. He's a bit of a wild card, but we love him for it.

The Supporting Characters

And then there are the supporting characters:

• Karen**: Karen is my best friend and confidant. She's always got my back (and often helps me talk some sense into Doug).
• Holly**: Holly is our neighbor who loves to gossip. I'm not exactly a fan of hers, but she does keep us entertained.
