It's me, Robert Barone, Ray's older brother, and I'm here to give you the latest updates on the family and friends of Everybody Loves Raymond. I know, I know, it's always about Ray, but I'll try to fill you in on what's been going on with the rest of us. As a NYPD cop, I've got a lot on my plate, but I'll do my best to keep you entertained.
Let's start with the family. My parents, Frank and Marie, are still going strong, even if they do drive me crazy most of the time. They're still living in the house, still arguing, and still making us all feel like we're 10 years old again. My brother Ray, of course, is still the center of attention, with his perfect wife Debra and their three kids. I mean, I love them all, but sometimes I feel like I'm just an afterthought.
As for me, I'm still plugging away at the NYPD, trying to make a name for myself outside of being "Ray's brother." It's not easy, but I'm managing. My wife Amy is still putting up with me, and we're still trying to have kids. It's not happening yet, but we're not giving up hope.
And then there are the friends. You know, the ones who always seem to be dropping by the house unannounced, eating all our food, and making a mess. I'm talking about guys like Gianni, who's still trying to make it big as a chef, and Bernie, who's still... well, I'm not really sure what Bernie does, but he's always around.
Despite all the chaos they bring, I've got to admit, it's nice to have them around. They're like a second family, even if they do drive me nuts sometimes. And let's be real, they're always good for a laugh, even if it's usually at my expense.
So, what's new with the family and friends of Everybody Loves Raymond? Honestly, not much. We're all just trying to get by, day to day, without too much drama. Of course, that's never going to happen, but we can dream, right?
I did recently get a promotion at the NYPD, which was nice. I'm now a sergeant, which means I get to boss people around and pretend like I know what I'm doing. It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it.
Ray's still writing his sports column, and Debra's still... well, Debra's still Debra, which is to say, she's still the voice of reason in our crazy family. My parents are still arguing, and the friends are still hanging around. It's all just business as usual in the Barone household.
In the end, that's what it's all about: family. We may drive each other crazy, but at the end of the day, we love each other. Well, most of the time, anyway. I'm just happy to be along for the ride, even if I do have to sit in the backseat sometimes.
So, that's the latest from the family and friends of Everybody Loves Raymond. Not much has changed, but that's okay. We're all just happy to be together, making each other laugh, and occasionally, making each other cry. That's just what families do, right?
