I'm just a regular guy from Queens, trying to make it in this crazy world. But let's be honest, my career path has been anything but conventional. I mean, who else can say they've gone from delivery driver to part-time gravedigger and back again? In this post, I'll break down the quirks that led me to where I am today.
I started my career at the local delivery company, delivering everything from pizzas to packages. It was a great gig – I got to drive around, meet new people, and eat on the job (all the perks!). But let's not forget, it wasn't all smooth sailing. There were days when I'd get lost in the neighborhood, or accidentally deliver a pizza to the wrong house (hey, at least they got a free meal, right?).
But then came the day when my friend Pat convinced me to join him for a summer of grave-digging. Yeah, you read that right – digging graves. It was a real thing, and somehow I managed to get roped into it. Let's just say it wasn't exactly the most glamorous job in the world (I mean, have you ever tried to dig up hard-packed dirt with a shovel all day?). But hey, at least we got some exercise out of it!
After that brief foray into grave-digging, I realized that my heart wasn't in it. I mean, who needs the stress of worrying about burying people all day? Not me, that's for sure. So, I went back to what I knew best – delivering things! It may not have been glamorous, but at least I got to see familiar faces and eat on the job (some habits die hard).
Looking back, my unconventional career choices taught me a valuable lesson: don't stress too much about what others think. Do what makes you happy, and as long as you're not hurting anyone else (or burying them alive), it's all good.
I know I may have taken some unconventional career paths, but hey, at least I've learned to laugh at myself and enjoy the ride. And who knows? Maybe one day I'll find a new gig that's even more bizarre than grave-digging (but please, no more digging up dead people – my back still hurts just thinking about it!). Until then, I'll just keep on delivering – whether it's packages, pizzas, or good vibes to those around me.
