Oh my god, you guys! I am so excited to be writing this post about one of my favorite topics: The Office! I mean, who doesn't love a good laugh and some quality time with Michael Scott and the rest of the Dunder Mifflin crew? But, let's get real, there are some characters on that show who just didn't get enough screen time. Like, what even is the deal with Toby Flenderson? I mean, I know he's played by Paul Lieberstein, but seriously, how many times can one guy be portrayed as a sad, boring assistant to Michael Scott before you lose all interest?
Toby is definitely the most underrated character on the show. I mean, have you seen his outfits? So... beige. But, in all seriousness, Toby was a victim of circumstance and had to deal with some of the worst situations at Dunder Mifflin. Like, who else has to listen to Michael Scott's constant pranks and bullying for years on end? Not me, that's for sure! I mean, I've had my fair share of dealing with Michael's drama, but Toby takes the cake.
But what really sets Toby apart is his love life. I mean, have you seen him with Karen Fillipelli? It's like they were meant to be. But alas, it was not meant to be. At least, not in the way we wanted it to be. Ugh, that ending still hurts to this day.
Angela is another character who deserves so much more screen time. I mean, she's like the human version of a martini (shaken, not stirred, of course). She's got sass, she's got style, and she's got a whole lot of secrets under that ice queen exterior.
I love how Angela always has this one perfect outfit on. It's like she's trying to make a statement or something. And don't even get me started on her judgy face. I mean, who else can look at you like that and still manage to be adorable?
Erin is definitely one of my favorite characters on the show. She's like the new girl next door (minus the whole "new girl" thing because, hello, she's been there for years). But what I love about Erin is her sense of humor and her ability to not take herself too seriously.
I mean, who else can make a paper company meeting into a comedy routine? Only Erin Hannon. And let's be real, her fashion sense is on point (those outfits are everything!).
Nellie is like the corporate version of me when I first started at Dunder Mifflin (i.e., ambitious and driven). She's got goals, she's got determination, and she's not afraid to speak her mind.
I love how Nellie always has this one clever quip or witty remark. It's like she's trying to out- Kelly me in every conversation. But seriously, who else can make a 3 pm meeting at Dunder Mifflin sound exciting?
Ryan is like the ultimate office rival (minus the whole "rival" thing because, let's be real, he's just trying to keep up). He's got a lot of spunk, a lot of sass, and a lot of... well, a lot of Ryan-ness.
I love how Ryan always has this one clever idea or business plan. It's like he's trying to take over the world (or at least Dunder Mifflin Scranton). And let's be real, who else can make a "I'm with stupid" t-shirt sound cool?
So there you have it, folks! The 5 most underrated characters on The Office. I mean, what do you guys think? Do you agree or disagree? Let me know in the comments below!
